WHO AND WHAT IS NEUROZEST

Melissa Rollinson gained her Nursing Registration in 1997 and has always been extremely passionate about assisting others to function at their absolute best.

Like many, she has experienced the frustrations of ailments and understands the desperation of wanting to be without them.

From this passion and desperation - NeuroZest was born!

NeuroZest utilises a system called NIS (Neurological Integration System)

Melissa offers NIS sessions from the comfort of her home-based clinic in Te Puke

WHAT IS NIS

The NIS system bases it’s treatment on the scientific principle that the brain governs “optimum function” of all our body’s systems.

Meaning, as long as our brain is communicating properly with our body, we should be able to operate at our best.

However, as we go about our daily lives we are constantly exposed to different types of stresses.

For the most part, our bodies are designed to handle these – but from time to time these stresses can be pushed past our tolerance level and that’s when our bodies start to suffer.

That's when we experience a variety of aliments, symptoms and complaints - all of which over time, prevents us from functioning at our best and being able to truly enjoy life.

NIS assists in restoring the connections between our brain and body, which in return allows us to get back to doing what we love.

WHO CAN NEUROZEST TREAT

WHAT DOES AN NIS TREATMENT INVOLVE

Sessions are commonly carried out either sitting or lying fully clothed on a treatment table.

HOWEVER - sessions are catered to suit each individual.

Younger children for example, may sometimes find sitting on or next to their parent or guardian with a favourite book or toy favourable.  Babies may enjoy lying on the floor on their favourite blanket or even be breastfed.

Once a comfortable position has been achieved, Melissa runs through a list of protocols by lightly placing her hands on specific anatomical contact points and uses muscle testing to determine the underlying neurophysiological reason a patient has their symptom pattern.

The protocols evaluate integrated function and not isolated function. i.e.: how the body’s systems work together in unison, taking into consideration physiological interrelationships.

Our body’s systems do not work in isolation - so should never be assessed or treated in that way.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER A TREATMENT

Every individual and every session will bring about a different outcome.

Each session is unique and treatment findings will vary.

Results can depend on the length of time and severity one has had an ailment, complaint or symptom and the age of the patient also needs to be taken into account.

From experience, patients will experience relief and progress in the space of one visit.

But to fully resolve complaints, it usually requires a program of treatments over several visits.

Sometimes ailments, complaints and symptoms can seem to persist, but the actual underlying cause may be different

- It’s simply a case of working through the layers!

The key is to be pro-active.

Often we are not even aware that our body is not functioning at it's optimum until it get's fixed!
